The women of Jane that was the name of the organization build in 1969 with its called for women seeking for help when they wanted an abortion. These women gather their tools and wanted women to have safe abortions. Once the women had contact the organization women would contact a “doctor” and then the case was out of their hands. Women started realizing they were sending these women to ordinary people therefore they started performing safe abortions. They continue this in 1972 the Chicago police department located an apartment where the women of Jane would perform these illegal safe abortions. These organizations believed that the law was wrong and if there had to be a change they had to step up and take the lead. As Jody one of the women that took part in the organization called Jane said “To disrespect a law that disrespected women.” This is important because to see the problem and go against the law what ideas what motivations would drive you to do it. I believe is the power is your voice is what makes you unique to the point where you set the example of what is right to you to a society. That might think differently from you it is to tick to something to fight for it. If the problem in our community is the lack of knowledge when it comes to open conversation about sex in Mexican communities. But is to teach our younger students about sex. That if you are sexually active at a young age you have to take care of yourself. Value each other as human resources. That coming from a Mexican family religion is really important from a Latino community it has been a decision not only based on Latinas throw the years out options had been limited since thinking of abortion is not even an option. Due to the law basic sanitary issues or any health care. It’s a topic really hard for Latino communities that we have to change. Also Preventing of unwanted pregnancies is a challenging topic due to a basic catholic and Christian belief and school and home sexual education. To start talking about sex more openly to stop this as a taboo in our community. The community of Chicago has a place called Mujeres Latinas en Acción where women who need help are able to get it. This is a place that every country state suburb town should have instead of protest judging women.
